February in São Paulo.

In February, when the holidays end and a new school year starts, the city returns to the normal rhythm. The traffic in São Paulo gets more intense, with a pause only for the carnival, which this year will be at the beginning of the month.

Temperature: The temperatures can vary between 24 and 28 Celsius degrees and rains are still frequent.

What to wear: Light clothing, because there is still a predominance of heat, but some temperature variations can occur and a coat, as a precaution, is essential.

The fruits of the season are: avocado, starfruit, fig, guava, jackfruit, apple, passion fruit, Italy grape, tending to lower prices.

On February 17, the daylight saving time ends and the clocks must be delayed by 1 hour.

The events in this month are due to carnival that begins on February 09 and ends on February 13, but the animation starts already in the beginning of the month with the street carnival blocks scattered around the city. There are many blocks with various musical styles in rhythms of carnival marches with options of country music, mpb (Brazilian pop music), pagode, pop, rock and punk. The fun is guaranteed for all ages, just choose the venue, your style and get in the fun.

The programming of the blocks is available on the City Hall’s website and also on other sites.
