October in São Paulo
October in São Paulo is usually a month with pleasant temperatures ranging from 20 to 28 Celsius degrees, but with great rainfall possibilities.
If you come to São Paulo in this period, it is always good to remember that everything can happen during this month, since very hot days until those in which you will need a coat and an umbrella.
The fruits of the season are: jabuticaba, coconut, banana, orange, papaya, watermelon and melon, take the opportunity to consume them as juice or in natura, the prices are lower.

On October 1st and 2nd happens the celebration of the 70th anniversary of MASP with many activities in the open space of MASP, workshops and free admission to the museum on October 2nd. Check the website.
On October 07 – The Museu da Imigração (Immigration Museum) in partnership with the Centro de Tradições Nordestinas has a special schedule with artistic presentations, dance, music, frevo, maracatu, forró, cordel workshops and forró classes.

On October 10 in the external stage of the Ibirapuera Auditorium, the Bachiana Philharmonic Orchestra of SESI-SP, under the regency of maestro João Carlos Martins, presents the show 90 years of Colgate Smile – Tribute to Tom Jobim, with the participation of the singer Sandy, beginning at 11:30 am. The event is free of charge.
On October 12, holiday, is celebrated the N.Sa. Aparecida’s day, patroness of Brazil, with many excursions to the city of Aparecida do Norte.
On the same day is celebrated the children’s day, with many activities and events for the children in some parks and shopping malls. The Memorial of Latin America will celebrate children’s day with the 2nd Potato and Milk Shake Festival, with Amusement Park on October 12, 14 and 15. At Parque da Água Branca has a programming for the children with shows, workshops, storytelling, gastronomy and many activities from October 12 to 15 at 455, Francisco Matarazzo Avenue and on October 10 the Leões de Israel band has a project aimed to the children, “Go litlle lions”, at the FIESP Cultural Center, 1313, Paulista Avenue, beginning at 1:00 pm, with toys distribution, storytelling and lots of music for the children.
October is also the month of the German feasts; until October 08 the Oktoberfest continues at Sambódromo do Anhembi and the BrooklinFest, which takes place every October, offering shows with music and typical German dishes like pork knee, sausages, apfelstrudel and cold beer, but the Brooklinfest, despite representing a typical German party, is also considered a multicultural feast and this year will take place on October 21 and 22, from 10 am to 10 pm, in the quadrangle of Joaquim Nabuco, Barão do Triunfo, Princesa Isabel and Bernardino de Campos Streets.
October is also the month of the 41st International Cinema Festival, from October 19 to November 1st, the schedule will be available in the website.
